How our universities are using VR
One of the things that have been changing the way we teach and the way that our learners learn is Virtual reality or VR in short. Therefore, VR technology has been a fantastic tool for learning and also in teaching. At Amalead University, this is one of the technologies that cost us so much money when we were implementing it.
Even though it was costly in implementing, it has become essential at our university. Today, we teach most of our college classes through VR, and so far, the number of students who have enrolled in our college courses through VR has been performed excellently. This has become very encouraging, and we have ensured that we have ample VR tools that will help us ensure that we facilitate our college courses through XR. The following are some of how we use VR in Amalead University to facilitate the learning and teaching process.
Virtual field trips
One of the most popular applications of this technology in our university or other universities using VR is virtual field trips. At times and in most cases, it is tough for us to travel with our students for field trips so that they can learn about different topics. It Is also quite expensive, and most learners will not afford not to forget that this can be very time-consuming. However, when it comes to college classes through VR, it is very easy for us to have virtual field trips with our learners and have an easier time exploring different issues.
Immersing languages
As mentioned earlier, we have learners from all over the world in our university. Therefore, these learners need to learn new languages that can help them cope with university conditions. Language immersion is one of the ways that help our learners to learn a new language, and it is always used in all the universities using VR.
Training different skills
VR stimulates learners in several ways. Therefore, VR encourages our learners, helping them to learn some practical skills. In virtual reality college classes, we help our students learn from scenarios that are very realistic without having to practice some of the unfamiliar abilities or cannot be controlled in real-life situations.
Special education
The virtual reality college classes also help learners who have special needs to learn about several things. For instance, if they are in the classroom, college classes through VR / virtual reality help the instructor show them some virtual reality tools that enable them to learn. For instance, when our instructors teach learners about machines or even history, virtual reality helps the instructors bring them the virtual images of these items. This makes it easier for them to have some imaginations and visual insight that they would never have when they are in the class. Virtual reality college classes also help them explore other things that they require in their lessons, even without the instructors in class.
Distance learning
When you visit our university, you will find half the population of the learners that we have admitted. This is because we don t require all our students to be within the school compound to attend all the lessons. We accommodate even those who want to have virtual classes from any place where they are located. This is another area where we use VR education technology. Most of our students are always from your college, but they attend their classes virtually.
Campus visits
When we are admitting new students, not all of them come to our campus for a pre-visit. However, with VR technology, our students can conduct virtual campus visits.
